MIND YOUR CALORIES WITH OTHER TIPS FOR HEALTHY LIVING
A. Eatable amount 100 gm.

Crash dieting without proper guidance is to be avoided in all circumstances as it leads to various metabolic and other psychosomatic disorders – nausea, dizziness, depression, acidity and acute dehydration etc. sometimes some other grave symptoms are also seen.
Whenever you undergo a diet control programme it creates an additional tension in your mind and every moment you are aware of your diet-control with the result – a dilemma what to eat and what not.
Your mind starts revolting against this schedule. Hence you cannot do it for a long. You must have seen the death of such dieting programs. All have been a failure.
Healthy body can be acquired only after changing your life style and that can be done by a proper training of your mind and body. This problem is psychosomatic and is to be solved at the levels of mind and body both.
For Body–Training you are regularly undertaking YOGA and with slight modifications it can be so devised as to maximize your calorie–burn requirement and metabolic reactions both. A Rescheduling is necessary in what you are doing as YOGA.
The problem remains with the mind training. Most of the plans fail because the conditioning of the mind is not proper. We have devised some techniques of MEDITATION to suit your personal needs.
1)
B. Vegetables

While selecting a proper diet you have to select the food items not only on the basis of calories in it but you need to look into its nutrition value also. There are six nutrients in your food: Water, Fats, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Vitamins and Minerals.
Apart from these nutrients Fiber is the most essential part of your diet. It has no nutrition value but keeps your digestive system functioning well.
Whatever you eat it takes FREE RADICALS into our body, which are very harmful. To minimize this damage you have to take ANTI OXIDANTS in your diet. Garlic and cabbage are very good source of Anti Oxidants.
C. Dry Fruits: (100 gm.)

D. Spices (Masale)

E. Fruits

Fruits and Dry Fruits are very good source of all nutrients and Fiber. Take fruits and avoid taking juice because a few Nutrients and Fiber go to the wastage. Risk with the Dry Fruits is that they contain high calories.
High Calorie Diet enhances the chances of obesity (motapa). Obesity causes Hypertension, Heart Problems, Diabetes and in some cases Paralysis etc.
Too repeated use of vegetable oils spoils their nutrients while their calories remain the same and the oily ingredients become more complex. These Complex Oily Compounds are very difficult to be digested and cause great hardship for your small intestine. For this reason deep fried food stuff e.g. Puri, Kachodi, Pakoda are injurious to health, particularly those from the market for they keep using the same oil again and again.
F. Milk/ Milk Products (100 gm.)

G. Ghee

A healthy body needs about 2000 calories per day to maintain itself. This need may vary in case of pregnant women, growing adolescents and those who work hard physically. For a hard working laborer or a pregnant woman the total energy consumption may go up to 3400 or 3000 calories respectively.
It shows that a large part of the total Calorie Consumption goes to the Body Maintenance. For proper functioning a man should not have Fat-Weight in his body more than 17% of his Body Weight while for a woman this should not exceed 25% of her Body Weight.
Calorie Consumption in the body depends on the Muscle Percentage in your body. More and more the muscle percentage more is the calorie consumption. Similarly more and more is the fat percentage in the body less is the calorie consumption in the body.
For decreasing fat percentage Aerobics or Yoga with slight modifications is required. For increasing muscle percentage some Specific Exercises are required in which some Instruments may be useful. Achieving goals in this field is not a problem. Many have done it.
The real problem is the retention of the good results so achieved. Whatever is done with aforesaid exercises is undone by the mind at the earliest and hence to make this benefit permanent, a Proper Training Of Your Mind is essential. Mind is trained through MEDITATION. In this respect DEH-DAHAN, NABHI-NAD, SANGYA-NIRUDH , UNMAN and DADURI MEDITATIONS are extremely helpful.
If you have not been a regular saadhak (practioner) with PS Malik then you may learn all these meditations here from this website as all the details of these Meditations with "COMPREHENSIVE MEDITATION" techniques will be given here in succession. This all will be just for the sake of benefit of those who want to learn something to improve their lives.
H. Some Other Edibles (100 gm.)

A number of fungicides and other chemicals are used on the vegetables in the fields, therefore the need to take vitamin B6 is increased.
Excessive smoking, Alcohol, X-rays, Air Pollution, excessive Sun basking, pesticides and Excessive Muscle Stretching create Free Radicals in your body.
Four important Anti Oxidants to deal with these Free Radicals are – Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Selenium and Keratin.
Vitamin E is found in Kakadi and Badam. Vitamin C is found in citrus (Khatte) fruits e.g. Nimbu, Amla, Mausmi and Amrood etc. Selenium is found in fresh milk and milk products and also in tomato and garlic (Lehsun). Keratin is available in Gajar, Shakarkand, mango, Papita etc.
